This work reflects on the figure of the “little person” in contemporary reality, an individual without power or influence, creating a shelter from everyday rituals, habits, and small objects to gain a sense of stability and control.

There is a man in a dark suit, kneeling inside a small wooden structure resembling a doghouse. Made from found wood and discarded furniture, the shelter is fragile and imperfect, yet it becomes his private space.

On the soles of his shoes is the phrase “Home sweet home,” once a symbol of comfort, now an empty sign. The structure does not protect from the cold but from reality itself.

The small, concealed space represents a psychological necessity: to hide, to survive,
to resist participation in a larger society. The figure is partially hidden, seen only from the back, evoking empathy and the universal desire for retreat.

The installation sits between sculpture and situation, a frozen moment that speaks to social tension, alienation, and the human attempt to cope by withdrawing inward.
